Hear from Our Founders

profile

My lived experiences as an African woman striving to use Technology as a medium in solving my community and continent’s issues, is why Because She Can was born. Studying Computer Engineering during my undergraduate studies, and transitioning into the Ghanaian Tech space, I saw first-hand how conditions were oftentimes not favorable to me and other women alike. I did not want other women to have to go through what I went through, and worse, before coming out as success stories. And so, my co-founder and I set out to build a community of women and girls who can honestly share their experiences and support one another within their chosen fields of Technology. This community consists of dedicated women whose talents, efforts are creating a ripple effect through out their communities.
